Writing Techniques
Thoughtshots can be as few as 1 sentence or more, it is up to you.
-make sure it is in italics

Snapshots must be AT LEAST 4 or more sentences. Your job is to be super descriptive!

Expanded Moment must be AT LEAST 10 lines or 1/2 a page long. Your job is to be SUPER dramatic and slow the moment down to be more suspenseful.

Full Circle Ending- needs to occur anywhere in the 1st paragraph and anywhere in the last paragraph. Should connect the beginning of the story to the end of the story.

Hyphenated Modifier- needs to work as an adjective and describe a person, place or thing.

Magic 3-needs to add support to help make a point.

Metaphor: compare 2 unlike things using the word "is" (or "are" or "was")
Simile: compare 2 unlike things using the word "like" or "as"

Personification- give a human trait or ability to something that is not alive using verbs.
Hyperbole-an extreme exaggeration for emphasis. This is not a literal statement.
Idiom-a figure of speech, a popular or common phrase.
Repetition for Effect-repeating a SIGNIFICANT word at least 3 or more times in close proximity (within a paragraph).
